Minnie Van Service at Walt Disney World® Resort

Everyone is excited about the Minnie Vans at the Walt Disney World® Resort, and with good reason! They’re cute, fun, and they are a really great deal. Here is what you need to know!

How much is the cost? For a distance-based fee, a Minnie Van will pick up your party (up to 6 people) at any location on Walt Disney World® Resort property and take you to any other Walt Disney World® Resort location. While this service is run through Lyft, all of the cars are owned and maintained by Disney, and every driver is a Disney cast member so you’ll never need to worry about the safety of the car or driver!

How do I request a Minnie Van? Simply download the Lyft app, select Minnie Van from your car options, and request your ride! Once you’ve clicked through the Lyft app to order your car, you can see exactly where it is as it arrives, how many minutes until it arrives, the car number and driver name, so there will be no question that you’ve found the right ride! During regular hours you can expect to wait about 5-10 minutes for your car to arrive. If you’re trying to grab a Minnie Van during dinner hours, as the parks close, or other high volume times expect your wait time to be 10-25 minutes. When your ride is complete you can opt to tip your driver in cash, or you will also be promoted to add gratuity through your Lyft app.

What about those with limited mobility? In addition to the standard sized Minnie Vans, there are also a number of cars that are ADA compliant. While you cannot request these cars through the app, they are still easy to request- simply make your way to any guest services location and a cast member will give you the correct number to call. These Vans will accommodate wheel chairs, electric scooters and more, and are still the same price.

Can they accommodate young children that need a car seat? Minnie Vans are all compliant with Florida car seat laws- all children 6 and under must ride in a car seat or booster. Each Minnie Van has 2 Graco Forever car seats that your driver will be happy to install for you! These car seats can accommodate any child from newborn to big kid as a rear facing car seat, forward facing car seat, or booster.

Where can the Minnie Vans take me? In addition to the standard point to point service on Disney property, Disney’s Minnie Vans will also happily make another single stop for you, without adding to the cost. Need to grab some snacks from the Hess convenience store? No problem! Just keep in mind that all stops must still be on Disney property. 

Where do the Minnie Vans pick-up and drop-off? Minnie Vans also have their own special pick up locations in many areas such as Disney Springs, and all Disney Theme Parks and Water Parks. If you’ve ordered a Minnie Van and you’re not sure where to pick it up, ask any of the bus drivers- they’ll be sure to know! Minnie Vans also are able to drive you places other taxis and buses cannot like directly to Pioneer Hall for the Hoop De Doo Musical Revue and the campsites.
