The Hunt for Pressed Pennies

Pressed penny machines have been around for years at Disney World. When my girls were little, I would pack tubes with quarters and shiny pennies in preparation for the hunt around Disney World to get them all. What is a pressed penny? A machine takes a penny, heats it up and then smashes it while also imprinting a design on it. Machines around Disney usually charge 50 cents to press one penny, but we saw new machines as well.

Once you check in you do not have to leave the area to get the most from you vacation. One area that I like is CityWalk, the dining and entertainment district located between both parks and within walking distance to you’re on site resorts.
