Whale Watching in Maui

Every year, beginning in November, nearly 10,000 humpback whales migrate from Alaska to Maui to mate and calve, staying in Maui through early April. The warm, and relatively predator-free, waters off Maui offer the perfect place for the females to raise their new calves. Lucky for us, the whales tend to prefer the shallower water, as the young calves need to breathe every few minutes forcing the mother to remain closer to the surface. This offers visitors amazing opportunities to view these amazing animals.
