Located in the heart of the South Pacific, Fiji is blessed with 333 tropical islands that are home to amazing experiences and sites offering an ideal vacation destination for divers, honeymooners and families-- or simply, those looking to relax and get away from it all.

Known for its luxurious private-islands, all-inclusive resorts, top spas, culinary destinations and outdoor adventures, Fiji is most widely celebrated for its culture, which uniquely welcomes visitors home.

Fiji is a wonderful world of peace and tranquility mixed with modern day amenities, accommodations, and exciting cities bundled in a natural environment. Amazing soft coral diving, and its beautiful natural environment has led this Pacific island nation to become a leader in eco-tourism.

Home to some of the friendliest people who on earth, locals will greet you with a warm “Bula” (hello). When you visit Fiji you will quickly adapt to “Fiji Time,” which is the island way of living. No cares, no timetables, just let the day play out before you.

Unique Options Perfect for Any Vacation

The islands of Fiji offer seven distinct areas of focus for tourist. Each location brings a unique experience that will help make your vacation truly unforgettable.

Viti Levu
The largest and most populated of the Fiji islands, Viti Levu, is where you can take in spectacular views along the Coral Coast and Sun Coast. The Fijian capital city, Suva, is a combination of colonial architecture and modern skyscrapers. Some popular places to visit are the Suva City Library built in 1909, the Fiji Museum located in Thurston Gardens, and the Takashi Suzuki Garden. There is ample night life, music venues, parks and gardens, interesting culinary experiences, shopping, and numerous festivals.

Qamea
Located just north of Taveuni Island and 2.5 kilometers (1 mile) from Thurston Pont, Qamea has many steep valleys and high mountains. Naivivi Bay is considered a natural shelter from hurricanes and is known geographically as a hurricane hole. The Qamea Resort & Spa offers private boutique accommodations with the only Guinot spa in the South Pacific. Visit during the full moon in November and you could see the famous migration of “lairo” (red land crabs).

Malolo
Located 25 kilometers (16 miles) west of Nadi and part of the remarkable Mamanuca chain of islands, Malolo Island is 100% owned by a local Fijian family. It’s a paradise where you can escape the stress of modern living and reconnect with family and friends. Coconut palms swaying in the warm tropical breeze, golden-sand beaches, crystal clear seas, and coral reefs await you. Pamper yourself with the full range of resort amenities or participate in water activities like waterskiing, dolphin spotting, diving, snorkeling, and kayaking. Take cultural lessons or visit local villages and enjoy musical entertainment. Malolo is the place to restore your inner peace.

Vanua Levu
Formally known as Sandalwood Island, Vanua Levu is Fiji’s second largest island located just north of the larger Viti Levu. Once populated by escaped convicts from Australia, the island is now the center for Fiji’s sugar cane industry. Surrounded by coral reefs, Vanua Levu offers great yachting and diving along with rugged mountains with spectacular sights accessible by car or hiking. A must see is The Namena Marine Reserve, made up of a network of marine protected areas, located between Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

Tokoriki
Tokoriki is one of the 20 islands making up the spectacular Mamanuca chain, and is located 35 kilometers (21 Miles) west of Viti Levu. Relax by the pool, play tennis, island hop, or enjoy a secluded island picnic with your special someone. Explore the island on a guided nature walk and learn about the ancient healing properties of the native plants, snorkel among the reefs in the crystal clear waters, or find hidden treasures at the handicraft beach markets. You may arrive as a visitor, but you’ll leave as a friend.

Castaway
Part of the stunning Mamanuca chain, Castaway Island is 174 acres of paradise. This privately owned island is surrounded by spectacular white sand beaches, cerulean waters with coral reefs, and the island is covered in a verdant rainforest. Dedicated to environmental responsibility, the Castaway Island Resort constantly monitors and improves the resorts operation to minimize human impact. Go out on a hired boat and you may see the dozens of dolphins spinning and diving or paddle a kayak in the shallows of the island and perhaps flying fish will join you.

Yasawa
The Yasawa Islands, first sighted by British navigator William Bligh in 1789, is made up of six main islands and several small islets. The Islands were closed off to the public until 1987 when the Fiji government lifted the restrictions. As a result, the land remains virtually untouched with offers few resorts and it is a backpacker’s paradise. Sailing, snorkeling, and kayaking are popular activities for both travelers staying on one of the islands and for day-trip cruise ship passengers. These groups of islands are perfect for someone that really wants to get away from it all.
