Disney Through a Child's Eyes

There is nothing quite like experiencing Disney along side a young child. The innocence, excitement and sense of wonderment is indescribable. I recently asked my kids what they liked most about Disney World, and what they thought other people should know about going. Here are their top tips! 

1. "​The rides are really fun and you should ride them - A LOT!" Both of my kids have their favorites when it comes to rides, but ultimately their favorite part is riding them as many times as they can. Running from ride to ride and trying them all out makes each day unique and exciting!
2. "Meeting characters at a character meal is the most exciting thing!" My kids each have their favorite character meals - for my son, it's Chef Mickey's, and for my daughter, it's Akershus. We've tried them all and found each one is different and creates its own special magical touches.
3. "Everyone should eat at Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Resort!" Hands down one of my family's favorite traditions, is a first night dinner at Sanaa, located at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village. The food is amazing, and the view out to the savanna is incredible. Definitely worth the trip out there!
4. "When you find your favorite thing, you should just do it over and over again until the line is too long" Last time we visited, we rode Dumbo the Flying Elephant ten times in a row! Another trip was the Teacups, or Spaceship Earth. No matter what ride it is, let your kids ride it over and over again until the line gets too long. The smiles and laughter make it totally worthwhile!

Before you go, be sure to ask your kids what they want to see. While we have surprised our kids with a trip to Disney World, they would much rather help us plan the trip. Each time we go they want to do different things, and have new interests. Helping plan the trip, and looking to find the things that are either new, or new to them, makes them so excited for our upcoming vacation!
