Celebrate your Babymoon at Disneyland

A Babymoon is defined as; a relaxing or romantic vacation taken by parents-to-be alone or with friends before the baby is born. This new trend is becoming more and more popular because it really does give you that fun trip to step away from nursery building, doctor appointments and of course show off that bump somewhere fun! My best friend Lindsey and I planned hers to Los Angeles, so we could enjoy the beach and Disneyland. What is more fun than rockin a baby bump at the Happiest Place on Earth?

​Here are our tips for making the most of your special trip,

1. Plan Ahead - We planned our trip about 6-9 months in advance so we could maximize our weekend. Between hotel reservations, flights, tours, research and packing, it’s always best to do this as far in advance as you can! We were able to have our choice of flight times and hotels. She also brought a copy of her medical records just to have in case we needed them. We also planned our outfits as well, Lindsey found an adorable maternity shirt on Etsy, “I’m having a Minnie me” the Disney photographer LOVED it and kept taking our photo throughout the park.
   
2. Relax - It is important to keep the mama-to-be hydrated and rested even though we were power walking through the park. We made sure to find a bench or just a little spot to rest throughout the day. Disney allows you to bring in a water bottle so we kept refilling that throughout the day. And with the Disneyland App, you can look ahead at the wait times for rides so we wouldn’t waste time walking all over; we just waited until the right time. Another great thing to note is we were still able to ride about 15 attractions that are okay for expectant mothers, we had plenty to do!
   
3. Remember - We knew that once baby comes everything changes! So we made to take so many photos on our trip to remember this special time. Sometimes life gets to busy its easy to get wrapped up in the chaos and not stop to realize the joy in front of you! We made sure to think about how fun our future trips will be with kiddos tagging along. Overall, it was an amazing trip and one I would highly recommend for Disney lovers and mothers to be!
