5 Tips to Make the Most of Harry Potter at Universal Studios

1.     Make sure to download the Universal Studios- Orlando Wait Time App

This is a great tool to keep up-to-date on current wait times throughout the park. This is especially important for the more popular attractions, such as the Harry Potter themed rides, Transformers, Hulk, Spiderman, and other popular attractions.

2.    Get to the park early!

Arrive 30 minutes BEFORE the park opens to get in line at the front gate. Then head straight to either Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, whichever your tackling first (see tip #3). Once you get in the attraction area make sure the first stop is either Forbidden Journey (Islands of Adventure) or Gringotts Bank (Universal Studios). Both of these rides will fill up fast!
3.    Start your Harry Potter adventure at Hogsmeade inside Islands of Adventure.

Hogsmeade tends to be a little less crowded since it is the older of the two Harry Potter sections, so start your day there to help make the first part of your journey less crowded. Diagon Alley inside Universal Studios was also better designed to deal with hot days, which will make your afternoon’s much more comfortable.

4.    Keep an eye out for special touches from the movies!

The details inside the Wizarding World of Harry Potter are amazing! Be sure to look all around for special touches and little surprises, especially in the waiting area for the main attractions. And the special touches aren’t just for your eyes—keep your ears open when in the bathroom or walking through Forbidden Journey, you’ll never know who you will hear!

5.    Take the quicker routes to the attractions

Heading to Hogsmeade? Make sure you stay to the right and cut through Suess Landing. If the line to get into Universal Studios for Diagon Alley is long cut through the Blue Man Group to get inside quicker.

Thanks for these tips. We are heading to Florida for our daughters MAW trip and we are going to Disney and Universal. I appreciate you sharing this info. We have never been to Universal.
