Disneyland Resort Dining Recommendations

There are so many options for a nice table service meal throughout all of Disneyland. From Cajun to Italian and Mexican to Steaks there is something for every palate.  Please make note that we do strongly recommend advance dining reservations for all the below restaurants.

Disneyland Park:

Blue Bayou
​Located in New Orleans Square, this beautifully themed restaurant makes you feel like you are sitting outside on a patio in New Orleans.  Blue Bayou serves Cajun - Creole cuisine for lunch and dinner that is sure to please.

Cafe’ Orleans
Also located in New Orleans Square and serves up soups, sandwiches and salads with a French Quarter flair. 


Carnation Cafe
Located on Main Street, U.S.A you can find classic American comfort food here.  Some of Walt’s favorite dishes are served at Carnation Cafe.


River Belle Terrace
Located in Frontierland this American cuisine restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a dash of southern hospitality.  You can catch a glimpse of the Mark Twain Riverboat gliding down the Rivers of America from the shaded terrace.

Character Dining Experiences:

Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park
Located in Disneyland Park at Plaza Inn on Main Street, U.S.A where you can start your day with Minnie and friends.  Help yourself to an all-you-can-eat buffet which includes made to order omelets, french toast, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon and don’t forget the Mickey waffles.

Disney California Adventure Park:

Lamplight Lounge
Located on Pixar Pier this unique themed restaurant offers Pixar touches at every turn and panoramic views of Paradise Bay.  Here you can enjoy savory ratatouille recommended by Chef Remy along with American, healthy and vegetarian cuisine.

Wine Country Trattoria
Located in Pacific Wharf this restaurant is reminiscent of a Tuscan Villa and serves up Italian inspired dishes such as calamari, spaghetti bolognese, fettuccine shrimp alfredo and lasagna rustica.  The Mendocino Terrace is also a great place to relax with a glass of wine on the patio.

Carthay Circle Restaurant (Fine/Signature Dining)
Located on Buena Vista Street this unique restaurant is themed after the iconic Carthay Theater which played a big role in Walt Disney’s life.  This restaurant serves up the finest, fresh ingredient dishes.

Downtown Disney District:

Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes
Indulge in burgers, CrazyShake™ milkshakes and other delish dishes at this throwback-style eatery! But let's be honest, the crazy shakes are what we really love!

Catal Restaurant (Fine/Signature Dining)
This Mediterranean inspired restaurant with a modern twist offers grilled seafood, choice meats, burgers and salads.  They also serve breakfast as well. You may even be able to catch a glimpse of the Disneyland Park fireworks from the patio!

La Brea Bakery Cafe’
This casual craftsman-style cafe’ offers guests fresh California cuisine form brunch to burgers and of course fresh baked daily breads.

Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria
This open-air kitchen, 2 story dining room with whimsical decor inspired by Carnivale will delight your taste-buds with house made pasta, woodfired pizzas and much more.  Make sure to save room for Italian desserts such as cannolis, tiramisu and gelato.

Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
From Louisiana to you, this 2 story jazz palace with open-air atrium serves breakfast, lunch and dinner food.  Be sure to try some Louisiana favorites like gumbo, jambalaya, and southern fried chicken. Don’t get too full though, save room for beignets or bananas foster!

Tortilla Jo’s
Here you can enjoy delicious Mexican dishes such as made to order guacamole, tacos, burritos, tamales and fajitas in a multi-story restaurant-cantina with live entertainment.  Be sure to check out their brunch with bottomless mimosas.

Disney Grand Californian Hotel & Spa:

Napa Rose (Fine/Signature Dining)
Located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel this upscale restaurant provides views of Disney’s California Adventure Park in a craftsman inspired setting.  Award-winning cuisine by chef Andrew Sutton tells the story of Napa Valley.

Storytellers Cafe’ Dinner Buffet
Also located at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel this restaurant is filled with classic California decor which sets the tone for this delicious buffet.  There is something for everyone here including carved meats, chicken, fish, pasta, salads and more.


Storyteller’s Cafe’ Character Breakfast and Brunch
Located in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, Mickey and his friends welcome guests to enjoy made to order omelets, waffles, fresh baked goods and more.  Don’t forget your autograph book and camera!

Steakhouse 55 (Fine/Signature Dining)
Located at the Disneyland Hotel this restaurant is named after the year that Disneyland Park opened.  It is known for its attention to detail and delicious steaks. You can also enjoy a quiet, upscale breakfast.  

Goofy’s Kitchen Character Breakfast Buffet
Located in the Disneyland Hotel you will meet Goofy and friends as you power up for the day enjoying 5 food stations.  These stations include made to order omelets, Mickey waffles, pancakes, smoked salmon and more.

Goofy’s Kitchen Character Dinner Buffet
Also located in the Disneyland Hotel, dinner is served with chef Goofy and his special dinner guest chef Mickey.  Food included in this all-you-can-eat buffet are a meat carving station, fresh catch of the day, salads and more.

Located at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, here you can enjoy lively Italian cuisine with a twist.  Dishes are filled with flavors from the Tuscan countryside and includes zuppa e insalata (soup and salad), antipasto, slow-baked lasagna, grilled salmon, pasta and pizza.

Disney’s PCH Grill Character Breakfast
Located in Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel you can join Donald Duck and friends to start your day off with a delicious breakfast buffet.  Enjoy chicken and waffles, eggs benedict, bananas foster french toast and much more.
